Description
The building is a portion of a large aristocratic construction dating from the beginning of the 17th century in the historic centre of Pella.
The building's special feature is its corner location on the square in Pella, overlooking the Lake. From here, the most interesting view of the entire basin with the island of San Giulio and Orta reflected in the clear waters of the Lake.
Traces of 17th century elegance can be seen in the volutes of the gate of the inner courtyard, which once opened onto the garden where there was the family chapel with papal dispensation for the celebration of weddings, the votive aedicule still visible and in the hints of frescoes on the perimeter walls of the courtyard.
Three floors above ground, with a total area of 300 square metres, and an internal courtyard are an excellent location for various types of commercial activities.
The ground floor, for commercial use, will be occupied by a restaurant until 30 September 2022. The obligation of the tenants is, in addition to emptying the rooms and the courtyard, to partially restore the state of the places and to dismantle the canopy that stands on public land. The agreement is stipulated as transitional for the duration of one year: the location of the restaurant is not on the premises. No indemnity for goodwill is due.
The municipal administration has never expressed any opinion against the hypothesis that the two upper floors could be used for anything other than residential/storage. The building is in need of renovation but its structure is solid, including the roof, the beams and the beola roofing. The practices for the renovation of the facade have already been approved by the regional landscaping department.
