Canada Ski Resort Guide

While Whistler-Blackcomb in British Colombia is the #1 ski resort in Canada, there are many other Alpine ski properties sharing the Rocky Mountains. Canadian skiing may not have as much vertical drop as European ski resorts, but it boasts reliable snow levels, efficient lift systems, fewer crowds, breath-taking scenery and a choice of mountain locations. Some other British Columbia resorts, such as Big White, Sun Peaks, Fernie and Kicking Horse are fairly well-known internationally, while relative newcomer Revelstoke is already a ski resort not to miss. Banff and Jasper in Alberta attracts international visitors year-round, visiting for the stunning scenery while the Quebec ski resorts of Tremblant, Mont St Anne and Le Massif offer a more multi-cultural feel.

Canadian ski resorts also do dual-season well. The ski pistes turn into golf courses, mountain bike tracks and hiking terrain as the snow melts.
